She was named Food Executive of the Year (Vancouver) and Western Canada’s regional winner for the same award by the Canadian Food Service Executives Association (CFSEA) for her industry contributions. The President’s Award was received for her commitment to developing a national membership program forthe development of a national membership program by CFSEA (national). Each recognition reflects her drive to elevate people and results.

As a leadership and change strategist with decades of experience, Catherine partners with forward-thinking, human-centred leaders who want to elevate their teams and create workplaces where people and performance thrive together. Known for her ability to guide teams through complex challenges with compassion and strategic focus, she empowers managers, directors, and business owners to reignite their mission and lead with purpose.

Through her signature SPARK™ framework, she helps leaders move from uncertainty or overwhelm to being confident, focused, and committed to action — creating environments where work becomes a catalyst for growth, wellbeing, and lasting transformation.

Catherine’s philosophy is simple: when you put people at the heart of business, everything changes. Careers become more fulfilling, teams strengthen, and organizations flourish.

As the Founder & CEO of Ignite Leadership International®, a division of Catherine Rocheleau & Associates Inc., she has worked across a variety of sectors—from professional services, non-profits, and small business to healthcare, hospitality, food services and manufacturing.

Now based in Victoria, B.C., Catherine is rebuilding her business in a new city—one purposeful step at a time. Her social impact program, MoreThanGreen™, weaves giving back into every aspect of her business, reflecting her belief that leadership extends far beyond organizational walls.

Praised for her ability to “bring all the pieces together,” Catherine has been compared to a skilled band leader—someone who harmonizes people, process, and performance so organizations can hit all the right notes.

Where It All Began

Growing up in a military family meant change was the norm. As a naval officer, her father’s job necessitated a move across the country, to the United Kingdom and back and 6 moves within one city over 11 years. Each new city, school, and culture strengthened Catherine’s resilience and sparked a lifelong appreciation for diversity, connection, and the power of strong relationships. She quickly learned that while change could be challenging, it could also be exciting, energizing, and full of possibility.

Her time living in the United Kingdom deepened her respect for different perspectives and showed her how high standards and strong relationships can exist side by side. Returning to Canada at age 14 introduced yet another wave of adjustment — one that shaped her belief that involvement creates connection, a principle that would guide her future as a leader, volunteer, mentor, and community champion.

Early roles as a consultant, interim manager, and project lead allowed Catherine to refine her signature approach: balancing people, process, and performance to drive transformation and deliver meaningful results. Her curiosity, commitment to continuous learning, and desire to create a positive impact became the cornerstone of her career.

Catherine earned a Bachelor of Science in Food & Nutrition at Mount St. Vincent University and completed her dietetic internship at Vancouver General Hospital to become a Registered Dietitian. She continued her education with a Master of Business Administration at City University, specializing in Managerial Leadership and Project Management. She has since acquired designations as an Organizational Change Professional, Certified Executive Coach, Certified Business Coach, Master Certified Coach Trainer, and Virtual Master Presenter.

Life Tests Us in Unexpected Ways

Catherine’s path has included moments that demanded deep courage and reinvention. A decade ago, an assault forced her to take an extended medical sabbatical. With the help of family, friends, colleagues, and her coach, she rebuilt her strength — and her business — one determined step at a time.

Just as she was returning to work during the global pandemic, she faced another health-related pause.

Each time, Catherine rose again, recommitting to her purpose: helping leaders dig deep to find their own resilience and lead with authenticity and intention – just as she had done for herself time and time again.

She often says her resilience is rooted in three pillars: a strong vision, clear communication, and a willingness to learn and adapt.

One of her guiding principles comes from Yoda: “Do or do not. There is no try.” To Catherine, this means show up fully — with intention, integrity, and heart.

Catherine is the proud aunt and great-aunt of a lively and inspiring group of nieces and nephews. She recharges by walking through forests or along the waterfront, reading, or enjoying a glass of red wine with friends. A committed cheerleader for the Vancouver Canucks, Vancouver Goldeneyes, B.C. Lions, and all Teams Canada, she proudly calls herself an Olympaholic.

SPARK™️Framework

Foundation

This pillar is a critical, overarching part of the entire SPARK framework.

Anchoring your business strategy & operations, leadership style and actions with your purpose is fundamental to success in a rapidly changing market.
A clearly stated “WHY” reinforces your professional and business brand by sharing why you do what you do and how you will make a positive impact in the world. It will help attract the right people to your team and can lead to stronger, more productive relationships while limiting miscommunication or project scope creep.

S - Strategize

When you strategize you set the direction you want to take your project, company or even your team. You also determine the value opportunities that are available to drive change, performance, and growth.
The effectiveness of your strategy has a direct impact on the success of your efforts and the related deliverables because it explains how you plan to compete and grow in today’s volatile environment. You will create a strategy that will include your vision, objectives and is used to guide your decision-making process.
To set your strategy you will want to understand your purpose—your WHY (aka your reason for being)

P – Plan & Prepare

This pillar focuses on developing a plan for action. The first step is to create written goals based on your strategy, purpose, values and input from your team and other key stakeholders,
For each goal you will include timelines, metrics for measuring and a people centric focus so you know how they will be achieved. For each goal you will break each goal into tactics and add milestones, resources and tools needed.

A – Act & Align

This pillar focuses on implementing your plan with clarity, accountability & confidence. A plan without action is meaningless. Watching your plans go no where can be truly overwhelming and disheartening.
A focus on people, purpose and performance will enable you, as a leader to focus on delegating to tap into the skills and strengths of others. It also allows you to manage workload, team well-being and overwhelm, timelines and priorities. You will focus on leading your team, monitoring progress & outcomes using stated metrics and feedback.
Aligning the new changes with existing systems drives sustainable change and forward growth.

R – Reflect & Review

As you implement new steps, reach new milestones, or complete a phase, it is important to build in a time for reflection and review. Throughout the implementation phase, you will gain new information, new insights or obstacles that could divert the plan.Eleifend aenean accumsan curae.
Clear communication channels, active listening, constructive feedback and leadership agility in adapting to these issues are vital to an effective reset and continuation.
This pillar focuses on incorporating this process and tracking what is work, what is not, and what solutions or changes are to be undertaken, by whom and what deadline.

K – Kaizen (Continual Improvement)

Kaizen is the Japanese philosophy for “change for better” that champions small low-cost continual changes to make improvements. This approach involves every member of the team and fosters innovation, creativity, teamwork and boosts morale, while also reducing costs and unintended mistakes. It will also keep your team and business current, relevant and competitive.
Your goal in this pillar is to continually reassess all areas of your operation and make small changes so that you continue to get better and better on and with purpose.

Mission Accepted Media Announces the 29th Global Stand Up, Speak Up, Show Up, Yes You! Summit — A Worldwide Celebration of Inspiration, Impact, and the Power of Every Voice

VANCOUVER, British Columbia
— Mission Accepted Media announced today the launch of its 29th Global Stand Up, Speak Up, Show Up, Yes You! Summit of Inspiration — a live online global event continuing the ever-growing international movement founded by entrepreneur, media visionary, and Intl Top Performance Business Coach, Deb Drummond. What began as a bold vision has become an unstoppable, ongoing movement — one that continues to expand its reach, its voices, and its impact around the world.

The summit series is rooted in a singular, powerful origin story: a book of gumption. The Mission Accepted: 262 Women Entrepreneurs, Ultrapreneurs, Creatives & Media — Rock Legacy & Tell All anthology, gathered and produced by Deb Drummond, began as a bold storytelling initiative and has since become a worldwide movement celebrating visibility, leadership, and legacy. The book has generated over 5 million media impressions and the Mission Accepted movement overall has reached over 900 million viewers through its affiliated media programs, including The Women’s Channel TV Show. Now in year three of the first book’s five-year launch tour — and with applications now open for the second book — the momentum behind this movement shows no signs of slowing down.

At the heart of every single summit in this series is a dedication to celebrating and honoring International Women’s Day. It is the singular mission that has united all 29 events — which is why every summit, without exception, is held on the 8th day of the month, no matter what month it falls in. It is a rhythm of remembrance — a monthly reminder that women’s voices matter every month, all year long.
“When women rise together and share their stories, we don’t just build businesses — we build movements,” says Drummond. “Visibility isn’t about ego; it’s about impact. If people can’t find you, they can’t learn from you, work with you, or be inspired by you.”

The 29th Summit: A Historic First

Across 28 live online summits, this series has welcomed upwards of 7,000 attendees and hosted over 1,200 speakers and authors, cementing its place as the largest speakership and authorship platform of its kind anywhere in the world. Designed from the beginning to be globally accessible, the summit is broadcast live online and offered across multiple time zones so that women everywhere can participate — regardless of where they are in the world.

The 29th Summit marks a pivotal and historic moment for the series: for the first time, two men’s panels will join the stage. These panelists will share how inspiration has driven their own careers to new heights — and will honor the women in their lives who have been part of that inspiration. It is a powerful statement of unity, collaboration, and the kind of heart-led leadership that has always defined this movement.
The summit is designed around the belief that every entrepreneur deserves to be seen, heard, and positioned for success — regardless of where they are in their journey. From women just beginning their businesses to 5-time Emmy Award winners, the stage is open. Coaching and training in public speaking and strategic media use are woven throughout, offered across multiple time zones to ensure no voice goes unheard.

A Book Tour That Has Touched the World

Now in its third year of the first book’s five-year launch tour, the Mission Accepted book has made its mark around the globe. The book has been gifted to over 500 celebrities at prominent celebrity gifting suites held during Oscars and Emmy’s weeks — and has been celebrated everywhere from castles in Ireland, to large gala-style events in Vancouver, Canada, to powerful speaking venues across Texas and Los Angeles. With applications now open for the second book in the series, this movement is only just getting started.

Celebrity Participants and Featured Speakers

True to the tradition of gracing its stages with at least five celebrities per event, the 29th Summit brings together an exceptional lineup. Celebrity participants include Joe Anselm, John Di Domenico, Kim Estes, Michelle Romano, Brian Sebastian, Eric Zuley, Jesse Norsworthy, Sean Lizeé, David Kaye, and Tyrone DuBose.

A special appearance will be made by Ocean Baker — internationally recognized for his Artistic Excellence and his Couture Fashion and Streetwear — whose artwork graces the cover of the Mission Accepted book. Ocean will also be speaking on one of the Men’s Panels, bringing his unique creative perspective to the stage.

Featured speakers — many of whom are also authors in the book series — include Tammy Cohen, Stacey Hall, Jennifer Bond, Johann Callaghan, Catherine Rocheleau, Heather Marianna, Avery Crumrine, Cynthia Gregory, Liz Goll Lerner, Andrea Nechita, Anat Peri, Susan Blumberg, and Deb Drummond herself, whose keynote will anchor the event with her signature blend of high-performance strategy and heart-centered encouragement.

The Book. The Stage. The Channel.

What has made this project unlike anything else is the trifecta at its core: the power of the book, the power of the stage, and the power of the channel. Together, these three pillars create a complete ecosystem that opens doors for women at every level of business and public life.

Through the Women’s Channel, Drummond has created accessible media opportunities for women to share their voices on a global stage. Through the Summit of Inspiration, entrepreneurs step into a world-class environment alongside celebrated leaders and celebrities who share their stage and their stories. Through the Mission Accepted book series, their stories are published and amplified with the credibility of millions of media impressions. The mission is clear: if you are seen in the right places, speaking to the right audience, your business will build — creating economic sustainability and real empowerment for entrepreneurs everywhere.

“I don’t just create opportunities — I create platforms where others can expand what’s possible for themselves and for the world,” says Drummond. “You don’t need permission to lead — you need a platform and the courage to step onto it.”

Ignite Leadership Founder Marks New Chapter in Leadership Work in Conjunction with International Women’s Day

I’m dedicated to helping leaders slow the spin, get clear and take purposeful action so they can protect their well-being while leading through real pressure. ”
— Catherine Rocheleau

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA (BC), CANADA, March 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Catherine Rocheleau, MBA, VMP, Founder and CEO of Ignite Leadership International®, will appear on the Health & Wellness Panel at the Women to Watch Summit on March 7 at 1:30 p.m. PST. The virtual summit, held March 7–8 in recognition of International Women’s Day, draws approximately 250 registrants per day and convenes women leaders across industries.

Rocheleau says, “Leadership and life can shift quickly. It can drop you into uncertainty without warning. I’m dedicated to helping leaders slow the spin, get clear and take purposeful action so they can protect their well-being while leading through real pressure. When you lead from purpose, the impact shows up in the work and in the people.”

Rocheleau previously appeared on Worldwide Business with Kathy Ireland® on Fox Business Network and has been featured on CTV, Citytv, Bloomberg Television and CUTV News Radio. She is a three-time international best-selling author and recipient of the Quilly Award from the Academy of Best-Selling Authors. Earlier in her career, she was named Food Executive of the Year in Vancouver and Western Canada’s regional winner by the Canadian Food Service Executives Association.

With more than 30 years in business and 17 years as a leadership coach, Rocheleau has worked across professional services, nonprofits, health care, hospitality, food services and manufacturing. Her experience spans executive leadership, organizational change, performance management and strategic transformation initiatives.

Her Summit participation reflects a renewed phase of public leadership visibility following an extended medical sabbatical. During that time, she recalibrated her work around resilience and the realities senior leaders face when expectations are high and support is limited.

Now based in Victoria, B.C. Canada after relocating from Vancouver, she works with purpose-driven executives and business owners navigating growth, transition and organizational strain.

Through Catalyst: Human Centered Leadership for Sustainable Impact, Rocheleau offers a coaching program designed to help leaders move forward without sacrificing clarity or sustainability. The program supports leaders in stepping back from overwhelm, making decisions with focus and setting a steadier pace for their teams.

Catalyst builds on her established SPARK™ framework, a roadmap that guides leaders from uncertainty to committed action. Her work emphasizes building accountability while keeping the human side of leadership in view, especially in organizations where results matter and people are stretched thin.

She adds, “Human-centered leadership is not soft. It asks leaders to be clear, to be consistent and to follow through. When leaders can hold compassion and accountability at the same time, trust grows and performance becomes easier to sustain.”

Rocheleau has upcoming guest appearances on “Making It!” by Mirasee and “Mission Accepted,” with release dates forthcoming.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Leadership Coach Catherine Rocheleau Signs Publishing Deal With CelebrityPress For Book, “The Winning Way”

Catherine Rocheleau will team with CelebrityPress, a leading book publishing company, and several of the world’s leading business professionals to release the new book, “The Winning Way.”

North Vancouver, BC – April, 2014 – Catherine Rocheleau, Founder and CEO of Ignite Leadership International™, has joined a select group of leading business experts from around the world, along with best-selling author and speaker, Brian Tracy, to co-write the forthcoming book titled, The Winning Way: The World’s Leading Entrepreneurs and Professionals Share How They are Winning in Life and Business and You Can Too! Nick Nanton, Esq. along with business partner, JW Dicks, Esq., the leading agents to Celebrity Experts® worldwide, recently signed a publishing deal with each of these authors to contribute their expertise to the book, which will be released under their CelebrityPress™ imprint.

For Catherine Rocheleau, corporate leadership is about vision and its effective actualization. She believes leaders exist at all tiers of an organization and are vital allies that smart management aligns with to drive transition or change. Working with management to identify, nurture and achieve buy-in from these all-important change agents is an important step in manifesting dynamic growth objectives. Growing up as a navy brat, Catherine’s family moved almost every year. New school, new friends, and sometimes a new culture, Catherine learned from an early age how to harness her own leadership skills to navigate differing circumstances. It didn’t take her long to figure out change could be challenging but it was exciting too.

A lifelong learner, Catherine brings the skills of coach, strategic planner, consultant, project manager and trainer to each assignment, enabling her to adjust her focus as the circumstance requires: to business leaders, the organization and all its stakeholders, and/or the functional objective at hand. Early in her career she enjoyed notable success in the food and nutrition industry––including Food Executive of the Year for Western Canada, an award that recognized her forward-thinking and people-oriented management style. Successes––as well as a few inevitable setbacks––inspired Catherine to continue to align her work with her passion for business excellence. As a result, she deepened her practical business expertise with a Masters in Business Administration in Management Leadership and a Diploma in Project Management. Certification as an Executive Coach, Business Coach and Master Certified Coach Trainer followed, sharpening her perceptual and motivational skills.

CelebrityPress™ describes The Winning Way:

By definition, winning means that you competed and you came out ahead. Human nature requires us to compete in order to survive. Therefore, winning and survival have the element of success in common. To ascend to a winning position, you need a goal, a desire to achieve it, and the qualities of discipline, perseverance and action to attain it.

Having your goal and setting yourself up to achieve your goal is the first step in the process. You adjust your mindset and begin to plan diligently. Goals may be as different as DNA, but methodologies have much in common. Furthermore, your plans and expectations will need adjustments as you go along. That is why the knowledge shared by the CelebrityExperts® in this book will be of importance to you.

The advice and suggestions of these CelebrityExperts® are based on their experiences – both their accomplishments and their shipwrecks. The knowledge they share will allow you to make plans that can propel you in the right direction. That is the function of a mentor – to guide you where you are going and to advise what to avoid.

The royalties from this project will be given to Entrepreneur’s International Foundation, a not for profit organization dedicated to creating unique launch campaigns to raise money and awareness for charitable causes. The book is tentatively scheduled for release in June 2014.

Los Angeles, CA – May 16, 2017 — Worldwide Business with kathy ireland® is pleased to announce an exclusive interview with Catherine Rocheleau, Founder and CEO of Ignite Leadership International, a team of business-savvy professional consultants who are dedicated to turning dysfunctional or challenged workplaces into businesses that are built on trust, strong leadership, effective communication, good processes/systems and positive team dynamics.

Ignite Leadership International helps develop better leaders and better teams who are more engaged, enhance existing or develop new business and communication skills, align systems to improve productivity, reduce costs, increase revenue and amplify learning. The company was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Rocheleau says that the team of professionals at Ignite Leadership International is not an average team. She explains, “I’m not a typical consultant or coach. Typical consultants tell you what’s wrong, write you a report and then leave it to you to implement. A coach may help dig deep, but not actually give you the solution. I tend to be more solution-focused, and I measure those results. I really want to know that whatever we’ve done together has made a significant difference.”

CUTV News Radio spotlights Catherine Rocheleau of Ignite Leadership

Vancouver, BC. October 17, 2017 – If you want to make a change, how are you going to know whether it’s effective and how quickly are you going to know that it’s effective? How are you able to evaluate and measure change?

Ignite Leadership is a consulting and coaching firm that helps organizations implement change. Led by its founder, Catherine Rochleau, Ignite Leadership has worked with small and medium-sized businesses improve their leadership for over 25 years.

“For me that’s what I try to bring to my job is an excitement and passion for the change process,” says Rocheleau. “It’s a tough process to go through; it’s not always fun. But gaining that clarity, learning as you go and being willing to adapt is essential for success.”

Ignite Leadership combines both the soft skills of interpersonal communication as well as the hard metrics so organizations can see improvements in real time and adapt to today’s ever-changing world in a successful way.

“We have a real focus on a team dynamic, communication and leadership,” says Rocheleau, “but everything we do is tied back to business metrics as well. We want to know the work we do together is actually making a significant difference within the organization.”

Sometimes what businesses think is their problem area is something completely different. Sometimes it’s the systems within the organization, but, says Rocheleau, it will usually start with a leader.

“You’re a detective; you’re a researcher,” says Rocheleau. “I put the mirror back where it belongs. And instead of facing it outward, you actually have to face it inward. And that’s not always what people want to accept is the problem, but if they’re not willing to change, then they’re probably not an ideal client for me.”

Rocheleau says she sees leaders as having lifelong passion or lifelong learning. Leadership is a role. It’s not necessarily attached to a position. Leaders are the people who support change to making things better.

“How do we make sure, if there are communication problems or performance problems, that we’re actually dealing the root cause,” says Rocheleau. “Those are the things I think are really important to focus on.”

Coming from a background in the food service and healthcare industries, Rocheleau holds a master’s degree in managerial leadership and project management, as a well as a coaching certification.

“I’ve always been very interested in making things work well and to see people improve, so for me, to see the success at the other end, that’s really what drives me,” says Rocheleau. “I love to see people make that shift that’s going to help them to be better. My whole passion is seeing people be successful.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Catherine Rocheleau in an interview with Jim Masters on October 24th at 4pm EDT.
